KUALA LUMPUR: The Goldman Sachs Group Inc disposed of 20 million shares in Berjaya Corporation Bhd last week.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed the US fund disposed of the shares in the open market on June 11. However, it acquired 158,000 shares the next day.
The recent transactions saw its shareholding decline to 279.42 million shares or 9.29%.
Meanwhile, an earlier filing showed that UBS AG London had acquired a block of 20 million shares on June 11, the same day that Goldman Sachs had disposed of a similar number of shares.
UBS AG’s latest acquisition increased its shareholding to 13.96% or 419.88 million shares.
